We are delighted to announce that Prof. Sanja J. Armaković and Prof. Stevan Armaković, members of the EMOS research group at the University of Novi Sad, have been included in the 2025 edition of the Stanford/Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists list.

This prestigious international recognition highlights the visibility and citation impact of their scientific contributions in computational chemistry, atomistic modeling, materials science, environmental chemistry, and interdisciplinary research.

International Recognition of Scientific Impact

The Stanford/Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists list identifies researchers with significant citation impact across a wide range of scientific disciplines.

Unlike traditional scientific awards, where recipients are selected by committees from nominated candidates, this ranking is based on a systematic bibliometric analysis of scientific publications and citations.

Using data from the Scopus database, the methodology evaluates several standardized indicators, including citation counts, the h-index, co-authorship-adjusted metrics, and a composite indicator of scientific citation impact.

Although bibliometric indicators cannot fully describe the quality or importance of scientific research, inclusion in this internationally recognized database represents an important acknowledgment of the reach and influence of published scientific work.

A Recognition That Reflects Teamwork

For the EMOS research group, the inclusion of Sanja and Stevan represents more than an individual achievement. It also reflects years of dedicated research, teamwork, and productive scientific collaboration.

The group’s scientific activities combine experimental investigations with theoretical and computational approaches, bringing together researchers with complementary expertise to address complex problems in chemistry, physics, materials science, and environmental protection.

An essential contribution to these achievements comes from our colleagues, doctoral students, young researchers, and international collaborators, whose dedication, knowledge, and enthusiasm continuously strengthen the group’s research activities.

We are particularly proud of the supportive and collaborative environment developed within EMOS, where sharing ideas, exchanging expertise, and working together remain central to scientific progress.

Looking Ahead

We warmly congratulate Sanja and Stevan on this important recognition and extend our sincere appreciation to all EMOS members and collaborators who have contributed to the group’s scientific development.

While this recognition highlights the achievements of two researchers, it also reminds us that meaningful scientific progress is built through collaboration, dedication, and shared efforts.

We look forward to continuing our research, strengthening international partnerships, and supporting the next generation of scientists.
